Dettifoss, Selfoss - There's the place the waterfalls are produced.

I guess now we know where all the waterfalls come from... Of course from the top of Iceland. 

Yes it is very icy and frosty and snowy and really ice princess like there. On our way to the west we had to leave the coast and drive through the mountains. It was very icy on top of the mountains, but still kinda warm in the sun. Just during the windy time we seriously froze our a** off! 

Hehe, one way or another! 

I guess we took the right one.... First time to see a car wreck next to the street, luckily!

And there the melted snow forms a river, which of course leads to waterfalls when they leave the mountains. ANd guess what, we saw another outstanding 2 waterfalls that day!

On our way to the waterfall, stone desert!

First one is the Dettifoss which is the upstream of the river. 

The downstream Foss (Waterfall) is called Sefoss. This panorama is seriously unbelievable. You see Ice, water, stone and a rainbow in one sight!

ANd of course I produced the rainbow with my "Glücksstrahlen"!
