Intramuros - From a stronghold to the quietest place in Manila!

Mabuhay,

our last two days we spent in Manila, because in general I am a big fan of city tours. So I wanted to see what the capital of the Philippines can offer to a tourist, who is easy to satisfy.

Besides the malls and the markets, which are a little bit too crowded with people there is an area in Manila, called Intramuros. This nearly magical place is surrounded by a thick wall, which served in former times as a stronghold and now to keep all the stress and noise outside.

White Beach First Class!

Mabuhay,

at our last day on Camiguin Island Johnny and me had a "secret escape". Our boat left at 6 am to the C shaped white beach in the middle of the ocean. A little bit too early for my taste...

It was a 4 min ride by boat to get to the island. Arriving there we had to share the island with approximately 15 other tourists, luckily the beach has been pretty big and even with low tide it has been bigger as expected.

Katibawasan Falls - Feeling so tiny!

Mabuhay,

besides he three springs we have seen to swim in fresh water we visited the Katibawasan falls in order to swim a little bit more. The view of the falls was pretty cool, because this fall is about 80 m high.

Tropical Spring - Hot Spring - Cold Spring - Soda Spring

Mabuhay,
during our tour on Camiguin Island we stopped at some natural springs to get a swim in fresh water...after all the salt water at the beaches. There were three possibilities on Camiguin Island, a soda spring, a cold spring and a hot spring.

Actually the cold spring was the most impressive. The other two were just so so.

Here we are at the soda spring.

Sunken Cemetery - Is as beautiful and scary as it sounds!

Mabuhay,

after walking the volcano we spotted this incredible monument. The cemetery was floated when the volcano Daan erupted in the 1950's. Actually we didn't had the chance to snorkel there, but u could find scary stuff underwater.

This was the view from the top of the volcano.

Stairway to heaven... or a volcano crater

Mabuhay,
the first thing we did on Camiguin Island was the "Walkway to the old volcano and the 14 stations of the cross".
Actually we walked just on a mountain (because the volcano crater was not active anymore and the 14 stations looked mostly the same. BUT the view from the top of the volcano was really nice! We had to walk 1.5 km upwards and during that walk we sweated the hell out of our bodies.
