Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall - Taipei

Ni hao,
we arrived in the very morning at our guest house, so it has been a very short night for the two of us. After getting up after 4 hours of sleep we took the subway to our first tourist spot. We went to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. The impressive monument located in central Taipei has a roof, designed like the temple of Heaven in Bejing (I heard) which is topping a pyramidal body.
The large plaza in front of the Hall is flanked by the National theatre and the National Concert hall.

There you see the gate at the other side of the plaza.
We wanted to play a little bit Rocky to get up the stairs, but the humidity taught us to walk slowly...
When we arrived at the top of the Memorial hall the guards were changed. They have to perform kind of a riffle dance kkk After finishing the change We were able to steal a single person shot of Elisa with Chiang Kai-shek... He has been several times president of China and Taiwan. He started his political career during the Xinhai revolution and died 1975 in Taipei.
 And of course big gates.
The gardens surrounding the plaza and the Hall keep a variety of plants and carp ponds.

Of course Elisa had to take the kitty kkk
And she called the president with the red telephone

Greetings!!!
