Snow and Ice - St. Sauveur - St. Adolphe d'Howard - Lac Joseph - St.Agathe des Monts - Lac des Sables - Mont Tremblant - What a trip!

Bonjour,

we did a road trip today! 300 km, 6 stops, 12 hours, 3 people and one car.

We met at 10 pm at Peel Metro Station to get out car for today. Afterwards we went for getting some Breakfast-Bagels and a Coffee!

Then Oli drove us to the nearest skiing areas around Montreal to get a taste of...-27°C. I guess it was the lowest temperature my face had ever experienced.

The first stop, St. Sauveur was a skiing area. The wild blew the -27°C cold air into our faces. So we literally left the car, took a few pictures and went back into the car. We were the only idiots not wearing appropriate sky cloths. That is why we felt not only like freezing to death, but also a little embarrassed.

Red and even white face. After 15 sec my beard started to freeze beneath my nose. :_(
Next stop was our first, but as we saw one of hundreds frozen and snow-covered lakes in the St. Adolphe d'Howard area.
And here the second. But with every time we left the car the fun was a little less.... stupid temperature :-)

 El driver!

In St.Agathe des Monts we checked the church....
And in Mont Tremblant we had a coffee and cake.

This place was so cute. There is a ski lift in the middle of the village. Like a subway station. The slopes were ending right in front of the lift, so the people just had to take off the skies, enter the lift and go back up the mountain.

The slopes even crossed the streets at several points.
On our way back to Montreal I took photos of, for me as a german, unusual traffic signs.

It has been a great last day with these two cuties. I guess it has been a perfect sneak peak to Quebec, outside of Montreal.
