Bonjour,
as promised I'll write about the second half of our Sunday. We directly took
the bus for the Old Port, which was surprisingly new. We expected old pirate
ships and wooden planks all over. Maybe some barrels with wine or beer standing
around in each and every corner… Everything was unexpected. An escape labyrinths,
an ice rink, a nice clock tower, a zip line and all kind of amusement
installations. Not a single trace of some pirate-ish flair.
This does not look like a pirate ship at all!
On the way from the subway to the port we passed by the city hall, which was a
really impressive building. Furthermore we passed a cathedral and some other
nice architecture. Just check the pics haha
I found Johnny's and mine future favorite Pub!
That is the city hall!
In the evening we followed Oli. He checked beer and beef places all over Montréal beforehand and therefore he knew where to go to get the best SMOKED BEEF in town. Reuben's!
SMOKED BEEF; that sounds delicious all of you might think. Yeah, I
thought the same. Actually it was not bad, but I missed a smoky BBQish flavor.
It tasted kinda warm “Fleischwurst” just in a cooler geometry.
But anyway We had a nice night and even if Julia and me would have preferred to stay in bed the whole evening I guess we were happy, that he bugged us till we met to go to the restaurant.

So much meat! I was seduced to buy some of these!
Julia just had a salad :-) So healthy!
