Schönen guten Tag!
Right before leaving the coffee shop we chatted with the owner of the shop a little bit longer and she told us, that we should take the "Malerweg" to the fort. Malerwege are hiking tracks which are qualified to be the most beautiful hiking tracks in europe.
Thats what we did and in the end after just 45 min we arrived at the stronghold. Of course we had to pay 6 € entrance fee each, but I guess it was worth it.
Not just because of the beautiful view, but because there were several exhibitions around and really a lot of more to explore as I guessed before. It was like a whole village on top of the mountain!

Here we wanted to take a single pic with the entrance to the wine storage, but we had a photo bomber!
In former times there was a gigantic wine barrel, but it got destroyed unfortunately, but this is what it looked like...

This was the view from the extravagant architecture they designed to keep enemies away :-)
That was a really strong start for our trip!
