Vatican City - Spiritual Overload

Ciao,

when you are in Rome, you have to visit the Vatican City. It is an autark state in the middle of Rome. With it's own post office, police, guards, security service and a lot of more security.

The way to the Vatican City was not as posh as the tour itself, but still awesome :-)

Every time I visit this place I am really impressed by it's size and it's spiritual pomp. It is incredible how people build this kind of building at 1506-1626. And of course all the gold...
The Duomo was the first stop on our Vatikan Tour.

Next stop was the Vatican Museum and the Cappella Sistina. Before you can see the Cappella you have to walk through a lot of rooms and galleries... Totally impressive, but nearly too much. At some point you can't worship all the art anymore, because there is just a flood of paintings, carpets, sculptures and many more art.

 The gardens were just cute.

And again some sculptures we all know from the Cursus Latinuum.

The last stop on the tour was the Cappella Sistina.
The world famous "Touch of God"! This paintings my Michelangelo were the greatest I have ever seen, next to the Mona Lisa. 3D paintings!
