Firenze - Florence - Florenz - TipTop Tuscan Culture

Ciao,
yesterday we took the train from Milano to Firenze.

The service on the train, hosted by TrenItalia, was one of the nicest we ever experienced. Coffee, Snacks, Newspapers, Aircondition, Electricity... Everything you need for a 1,5 h train ride was included. We loved it, even if we had a delay of 30 min.

Our Plus Hostel Florence is actually full of surprises. Gym, two pools, rooftop terrace, sauna, two bars and much more. Firenze is treating us so well.

We just dropped off our luggage, relaxed for a couple of minutes and then started our explorer tour. Skipping all the big sights we had so many things to see!
I guess we are already impressed by the streets we are walking through. The weather is about 3°C warmer than in Milano, I guess based on the fact, that we went south.

While walking though the streets we found a food market, which was surrounded by leather good stands. We heard, that it is a "to do" to buy some leather goods in Firenze, but until now we hesitated to do so.
We went there to get a nice snack, which turned out to make us full for the rest of the day.

Natze and me had this delicious cheese bread. Too much for her... leftover time.
Spaghetti-Afro!

Now we even found out, that Firenze is the city where Pinocchio was created, our said to be born in.

In this beautiful place we took a break and an Italian came over to make us count the flies on the monument. It is said, that if you count it wrong you have to come back to Firenze....unfortunately the girls made it good and they counted the XX flies. Now it is your turn, guess how many!

 Success!
Time to go home.
Cannoli time! Elisa found a sicilian dessert. Yummy Yummy Yummy!
To finish the day we prepared our own Aperitivo on the rooftop,
enjoying the sunset.
